Luck of the Irish

After much deliberation with our “Luck of the Irish” fundraising partner, Keri Dillingham at Broomfield Council for the Arts and Humanities, and several Grange members, our fundraiser has been postponed. Acting responsibly and reasonably, we will dissemble this event.
Live Irish Music by Boys Of The Town & Ceili Dancing with a Professional Caller, Celtic Steps School of Irish Dance Performance, Irish Food and Drinks (beer and liquor donated by Beverage Werks in Broomfield), Mini-auction, Art show, “Shades of Green,” with artwork by Shirlee Miyake and artists who are members of the Broomfield Art Guild.
☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘
Two long-standing local nonprofits, Crescent Grange, Broomfield and Broomfield Council on the Arts and Humanities (BCAH), are joining together to raise funds and bring an exciting and fun St. Patrick’s celebration to Broomfield.
Join the clan for live Irish music by Boys of the Town, learn Ceili dancing from a professional caller, and enjoy a performance by Celtic Steps in the beautiful hall of the Crescent Grange.
☘ Boys of the Town plays and sings the traditional music of Ireland, bringing you lively and soul-stirring authentic sounds.
☘ Irish Ceili dancing is the native group dancing of Ireland and is danced to traditional Irish music in various formations with couples of two, four or six, or lines of dancers. Learn new moves and watch Broomfield do a jig!
☘ Celtic Steps School of Irish Dance is the premier Irish dance school of Colorado with multiple studios and one of the top competitive performance companies in the world. They will wow the crowd with their footwork and hard steps. Celtic Steps works with the St. Brendan’s Foundation to provide classes for students who want to learn Irish dance and for students who’ve qualified for major competitions who need aid in order to attend the faraway competitions and events.
☘ The art show, “Shades of Green,” will display artwork from local artists. Sip an Irish whiskey or a black and tan, donated by Beverage Werks, and enjoy Irish fare while you appreciate the artistic use of the color green and photos of Ireland snapped by photographer, Gerry Case.
☘ Food and beverages available for purchase. Alcoholic beverages available for $5 each with your choice of wine, beer, or a liquor pour.
Mini-auction featuring fabulous items including:
☘ 4-day stay in a 4-bedroom home in Kinsale, Ireland
☘ Large Celtic masterpiece created by accomplished artist, Shirlee Miyake. Shirlee’s piece, which incorporates Irish newspapers into “pawtastic” accents of Irish Wolfhounds from the Rocky Mountain Irish Wolfhound Association
A portion of the proceeds from this event will help the Crescent Grange raise funds for its “Ramp & Restroom” campaign. The Grange has been working towards building an ADA ramp and restroom on the main floor of this century’s old building to better serve the community.
Proceeds of this event will also assist BCAH with expanding its Science+Art Program, which presents free interactive events, like the Moonrise Viewing at the Brunner Farmhouse. These family-friendly events encourage young minds to explore how space science and the experience of art can be combined.
