COMMON HORMONAL IMBALANCES IN WOMEN
The talk concerns common complaints in women’s health relating to hormones with a focus on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and perimenopause. Hypothyroidism, endometriosis, and menopause will also be discussed. The presentation reviews the role and normal function of female sex hormones, what a normal menstrual cycle looks like, hormonal changes that occur in PCOS and perimenopause, and how hormonal imbalances are treated using functional medicine to meet an individual person’s needs.
