Learn about and tour the Crescent Grange Community Garden with the Grange President, Butter! This organic communal garden operates on permaculture principles, which means that their approach to gardening is restorative to the soil, plant and animal ecology, as well as caring for the people whose lives are enhanced by the garden. See if you would like to join this garden community, where they are always looking for new members and never run out of garden space!
After the garden tour, we will show off the garden’s composting system that is managed by Sustainable Broomfield and have an informative composting presentation. This discussion will include information about composting in general, live demonstrations, and instructions on how to start composting at home. We will also discuss other composting options available to Broomfield residents, both commercially and the free Sustainable Broomfield Compost Club.
