Crescent Grange member and supporter Gilbert Brunner passed recently.
His parents met at a Sunday night dance at the Crescent Grange in 1925. He was thrilled to see that life is returning to the Grange once again through activities welcoming all!

Gilbert (Gib) Thomas Brunner passed away on Wednesday, October 8th after a brief illness; he was 86. Gib was born on October 23, 1927 in Broomfield, CO to Lib and Lester Brunner; he was part of the third generation to call Broomfield home. Gib was raised on the family farm and had a work ethic like no other. He served in the Navy and, like many GI’s, purchased a first-filing home in 1956, residing there until his passing. Gib spent his adult life working for Mountain Bell. He enjoyed his retirement years through the All-American road trip to state parks where he loved camping, fishing, horseback riding and many other pursuits. He was blessed with many friends and family who loved him dearly. He was married to Ila Brunner (Armstrong) for 61 years; Ila passed away in 2013. Gib is survived by daughter Gilda McCorkle (Bob); son Tom; brothers Clyde, Lester; grandchildren Jennifer Thielen (Shane), Kyle, Lindsay McCorkle, Tyler McCorkle; and great-grandson Harrison Thielen. He was preceded in death by his brother Dale.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 18th, 1:00 p.m. at Rundus Funeral Home, 1998 W. 10th Ave. Broomfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Broomfield Crescent Grange, c/o Don Studinski, 7901 W. 120th Ave. Broomfield or the Broomfield Genealogical Society.
